Nana’s B & B Pickles™ is an old-fashioned Bread & Butter pickle recipe created by Nana Donovan and will commemorate Nana Lynch who lost her life to cancer. Not only will a percentage of the sales from this product help cancer research but it will also open the door to other charities in the future. At Donovan’s Cellar, we want to not only be able to create delicious, artisanal products but also make a difference in our world.

It began in 2008, when I decided to incorporate my passion for running and doing something that benefiting others. I partnered up with Team In Training and The Leukemia-Lymphoma Society and ran the Paris Marathon, in honor of my late, beloved Aunt “Chickie” Donovan, who lost her Life to Leukemia. At the end of it all, I realized I had raised $8,000 for the charity. This is where I decided I could utilize my platform as a runner and business owner to benefit those who are struggling with this disease as well as those who are trying to find a cure.

On October 30th, 2011, I ran the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington D.C and the ING New York City Marathon on November 6th with Fred's Team to raise funds for cancer research. We are proud to say with the help of our customers, friends and families, we reached our goal of raising $3,500 for the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Research Center. With the donations to my runs and the sales of Nana's B & B's, we can take a step closer to a world without cancer and bring hope to countless men, women and children.

Cheers!
